Day 2: Overcoming Temptation

James 1:12-18

Temptation is a universal human experience, but as followers of Christ, we're called to resist it. James reminds us that God is not the source of temptation; rather, it stems from our own sinful desires. However, we're not left defenseless. By staying close to God and relying on His strength, we can overcome the pull of sin.

Consider areas in your life where you feel particularly vulnerable to temptation. How can you proactively guard against these weak spots? Remember, God has given us His Word, His Spirit, and the community of believers to help us stand firm. When you face temptation today, consciously turn to God, asking for His help to choose righteousness over momentary pleasure.
