Day 3: The Love That Surpasses All
Matthew 10:37-39
Today we grapple with a challenging teaching from Jesus about the priority of our love. At first glance, it may seem that Jesus is asking us to love our families less. However, the heart of this passage is about loving God so deeply and completely that all other loves pale in comparison. Reflect on your own relationships and priorities. Is there anything or anyone that you've placed above your relationship with God? Consider how your love for God can actually enhance and purify your love for others. As you go about your day, practice seeing your loved ones through God's eyes, and let your love for them be an extension of your love for Him.
