Day 5: The Triumph of the Cross

Philippians 2:5-11

Jesus' entry into Jerusalem set in motion the events leading to His crucifixion - His ultimate triumph over sin and death. Paul describes how Christ humbled Himself to the point of death on a cross, and was therefore exalted by God. This paradox of triumph through sacrifice is at the heart of the Christian faith. How can you embrace this "upside-down" kingdom mentality in your own life? Reflect on areas where God might be calling you to sacrifice or humble yourself for His greater purpose. Remember, in God's economy, the way up is often down.
